TaDa Spins a Global Success with Fortune Coins, its first HIT THE CASH™ Release

What’s the core philosophy behind Fortune Coins HIT THE CASH™ and how does it stand out from traditional slots?

Fortune Coins is the first release in our “HIT THE CASH™” series—a signature product line built around three defining features: the Lock & Respin mechanics that drive re-playability and bonus game excitement; fixed Jackpot tiers that build anticipation and reward; and a multiplier bonus collection mechanism that fuels gameplay progression and bonus build-up.

The game appears to be a “classic with a twist” fruit slot design, with instantly recognisable Fruit, Bar and Bell symbols land on an original slot machine design set against a sophisticated and uncluttered background. This means the defined and polished visuals allow players to focus fully on the symbols landing on the reels, ready for the bonuses.

As with any TaDa product, we begin with player centric data research including real life, land based slot player feedback. We further added easy-to-recognise classic fruit slot symbols and high definition design bonus coins to make the game visually effective for all players.

Can you share any player feedback or engagement metrics for Fortune Coins?

We trawl for data across multiple platforms and channels to compare the results but with Fortune Coins, players consistently highlighted two standout elements for them that made the game a success:

The first was the Fortune Coin Bonus + Lock & Respin feature. The embossed Fortune Coin Bonus symbol will only appear on the second reel in both the main game and the bonus round. 

In the main game, it simultaneously serves as both a collection symbol and a bonus symbol as, depending on the symbols’ configuration, it will collect and award all the bonuses to the players if one Fortune Coin symbol appears on either reels one or three. 

The Lock & Respin feature will trigger if two Fortune Coins land on the reels alongside the Fortune Coin Bonus. Once the Lock & Respin feature begins, any Fortune Coin Bonus symbols lock in and trigger respins—offering high tension and strong momentum for short-term satisfaction and big-win surprises.

Bonus features triggering another bonus game is a TaDa signature and Fortune Coins has several iterations of this design.

Within three months of launching, Fortune Coins was averaging in excess of 100,000 daily active users (DAUs) playing an average 500 rounds per player per day with €5k/$6k total daily bets, giving 30% retention rate.

This is mainly attributable to our data driven mechanics and feature choices in conjunction with immersive thematic design resulting in high play volume and increased engagement.

With the game performing well in all markets, have you adapted Fortune Coins in any ways for different regions?

Our “Global Approach, Local Know-How” strategy ensures specific adaptation to different market needs for targeted player and operator appeal. We do this through maintaining global standards and innovations whilst speaking directly to our target audience through localised gameplay, idiomatic translations and connecting on the right channels and platforms.

Based on market performance and player feedback, we’ve implemented several regional adjustments including reinforcing the luxurious “gaming royalty” theme with gold animations, high-impact visuals and a majestic soundtrack.

Naturally, the UI for language, sound effects and effect pacing have been tailored for instant recognition and easy access. Moreover, bonus frequency tuning has involved adjusting the Lock & Respin and jackpot triggers to suit different session lengths.
