Italy’s Growing Obsession With Crash Games Starts With Mines Gold
27 / 05 / 2026

Entering the Italian iGaming market with its unique fish-shooting releases in late 2024, TaDa Gaming quickly made a name for itself as an innovative and trustworthy content provider.

Fast forward to 2026 and with over 60 titles certified for the Italian market and key partnerships and collaborations with leaders including PixeloOctavian Lab, Admiral Bet ItalyStarVegasStarCasinò, Eurobet and most recently, ZonaGioco, the company’s star is still rising.

With a diverse portfolio of slots, fish-shooting, Crash and table games to woo Italian players, one of its most successful hits is Mines Gold: so we caught up with Silvio Chen, Head of Account Management - Italy, TaDa Gaming, to find out why players are so struck by this game.

Can you give us a 60 second resumé on what it is and how to play Mines Gold?

Mines Gold is a mobile first TaDa Crash title. It offers a random bonus opportunity further adding to the excitement of the rising multiplier mechanic in an easy to understand and explosive game of chance and nerve.

The game plays out on a 5x5 grid of 25 cells. Underneath each one, there could be a mine or a gold nugget. Players click the cells to reveal gold for wins - or mines for an explosion and game over!

Before starting, players can choose from one to 24 as to how many mines they want under the cells. Fewer mines mean lower risk but smaller multipliers: more mines mean higher risk but much bigger payout potential.

Players then set the wager level that suits their preference and they can cash out anytime they choose during the round.

Adding to the gameplay is the random bonus which can transform single nuggets to a pile or even a gold bar for up to a 10x bet multiplier. This anticipation, in addition to the tension of the Crash game design, gives Mines Gold a competitive advantage and it is currently our No. 1 Crash title and our second most played casino game in Italy.

What makes Crash games appealing currently?

The allure of Crash games lies in their mix of casino and arcade game appeal alongside the impact of the exciting crash mechanic.

Crash games are easy to learn as they have simple rules for instant understanding. The most basic gameplay is to place a bet, watch the multiplier rise and cash out before you crash. So players who are time pressed or like quick rounds and fast feedback can enjoy this bite size gaming.

The broader hybrid-casino trend is one of the fastest-growing gaming categories across Europe currently. Mines Gold fits into this with its rapid gameplay, visible risk management and mobile first simplicity.

Crash games also work well in environments with weak or uneven internet coverage or where more basic devices are available as they still perform despite slow download speeds.

At TaDa, we make our Crash games super lightweight to compensate for potential slow bandwidth but without losing any quality on the graphics. However, as latency can be an issue, we also enable auto cash out options as we have done with Mines Gold so that the execution is server-side rather than depending on real-time tap transmission from the player’s phone.

Crash games are also very streamable so they appeal to younger players and/or anyone active on Twitch or Discord. This becomes a circle where viral marketing and authentic user generated content (UGC) give the games more publicity and coverage, making them more visible and more appealing so more people are playing them.

Why are players in Italy particularly smitten with Crash games generally and Mines Gold specifically?

I think access to the Crash mechanic arrived for players in Italy around late 2024 and early 2025, when providers got ADM certification for crash-style products. For many, the novelty and excitement of the rising multiplier in a short round game was a big pull.

When we launched Mines Gold in Italy, there was comparatively little local competition in that category and the mix of novelty for players and differentiation for operators created a buzz which was enhanced by our brand building campaigns and new partnerships.

So, Mines Gold is succeeding in Italy because it matches several major trends in the Italian iGaming market at once: interactive gameplay, crash mechanics, mobile-first design and appeal for younger-player engagement whilst being accessible through trustworthy platforms.

Importantly, Mines Gold is visibly fair. Before each round, we announce the client seed and the random number so players can refresh their client seeds.

Following each round, players may confirm and verify the server seed in their gaming histories to check there is no falsification: and this makes players confident to return to the game, again adding to its success.

How did TaDa position itself in Italy to achieve this success?

Our glocalisation strategy for global core mechanics/local content underpins our strategy across all verticals.

When we launched our fish-shooting titles in Italy with Pixelo, we quickly became seen as a company which provided alternatives to oversaturated traditional slot content.

Alongside our long roster of international gaming licences and certification for regulated markets, this combination appealed to other operators and platforms in Italy, enabling us to quickly secure further collaborations.

Mines Gold was one of the first Crash games certified for Italy, so it’s had time to create traction with players through the “decision-based” structure that makes the game feel more interactive and skill-driven - which is what players in Italy are telling us they want.

TaDa is very data driven as a business, so we do the research and learn, then we launch: and that’s how we are able to deliver successful outcomes for all our stakeholders.
